A new US Government Pilot program, which began on Jan 6, 2019, will see the US government collecting DNA from immigration detainees and submitting it to the FBI.

Currently, the program is being tested in the Windsor Detroit area and at Eagle’s Pass in Texas.

Eddie H. Kadri discusses this pilot program, as well as its legal and ethical implications in a CTV interview, which aired on Jan 7, 2019.
